It’s a Food Day

It’s a Food Day

I notice my last two posts have been about birthdays but today I am on to others things – food! It’s no secret in our family that not only is my husband Marvin an excellent cook, but when I get home from work there’s a hot supper waiting for me.  A few weeks ago he was poking around a second hand store and found a bread machine for $10.00.  We have been having home made bread ever since.  The other night he tried out a new chicken recipe and as he took dinner out of the oven I said I had to have a picture of it.  So here it is.  Let the drooling commence!

Mom Has a Birthday

Mom Has a Birthday

My mother turned 86 on Monday.  I called to wish her Happy Birthday and we ended up talking about everything from her thoughts on Obama’s trip to my niece’s part in the new play in town.  Here is a picture I took of her at my son’s birthday party last summer.  100_6635

You see that look she’s giving me?  It’s the same look my granddaughter Tania gives me when I try to take her picture.  I find it very amusing that the same woman who photographed our every waking moment when we were kids gives me that “I told you not to take my picture” look when the tables are turned.  I love you Mom.
