Chillin’ at the Merricks
I’m Retiring!!
My last day of work will be May 28th. Then we will hit the road in June with the camper and make the grand tour – Connecticut, New York, Vermont, Virginia – in an order to be announced. We will be gone until we get back. Yea!!
Breaking News….Soon
I know, I know. I haven’t written a thing in ages and now it looks like I may blog twice in one day. What can I say except stay tuned!
Snow Blahness
It has been so cold, gray and snowy in this part of Tennessee that I can barely pull myself out of bed in the morning to go to work. I spend time at the office thinking about what I would like to put on my blog and Facebook with no energy at the end of the day to actually do any of it. But today I downloaded some pictures from my camera and realized I must talk about the children!!
I have a new grandcat named Twitter. She and her three sisters sent us the most adorable Valentine card which I must show off.
Sunday I gave the children’s sermon in church. I blatantly stole a picture of Twitter from her father’s Flickr account on-line. Then I stuck it on a slide and used her as the focal point of my talk. The kids loved her! Here’s the little cutie now.
Finally, Lee Ann, looking for a snack, came into the kitchen just before I put my camera away. Who could resist that face!!

Veteran’s Day – Thanks Dad

Dad joined the Army/Air Force in 1942. Mom took the train out west to marry him before he went off to war. This is their wedding picture. Thanks so much Dad for defending our freedom.
Sunday Nap at the Merricks
Yesterday Lee Ann decided to give Sammy a little “paws on” love.

That worked so well she then decided to use him as a pillow.
